Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With at least two music teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson.

9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

5. A proven track record of excellence since 2007.

Throughout our website, we have several testimonies from parents.  The Academy has a proven track record of offering quality music, guitar, voice, singing, piano and drum lessons in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands year round.  Our full time mission is teaching music lessons to help you achieve your individual goals and aspirations.  Our teaching method has been trusted by over 600 families for over eight years.

6. We specialize in music lessons for beginners and children!

Many schools have an intimidating university style curriculum taught by instructors who would rather be performing than teaching. Our number one priority is helping St. Thomas area music students achieve their musical goals. If you’re a beginner or are looking for music lessons for your children, or even an adult who wants to get back into lessons, we are happy to teach you!

7. We also cater to intermediate and advanced students.

We offer instrument instruction for all levels – beginners, intermediate and advance students. We look for innovative and special opportunities to help our students learn to their highest ability, including workshops and master classes.

8. A comfortable parent's sitting area for our clients.

With over 4,000 square feet we offer a comfortable parent friendly waiting area.  Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a relaxing, comfortable spacious sitting area with comfortable chairs, flat screen TV, music school literature, access to water cooler and restrooms. We are also very open to allowing parents to sit in on their child’s lesson anytime they like.

9. The most technologically advanced and fully stocked music lesson rooms in St. Thomas!

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos and more. All you need to bring is yourself.
Technology is also a big part of lessons at G-Clef Music Academy and we have installed a recording studio at the school. This allows students to work with modern equipment using the latest music software. Feel free to "Bring Your Own Device" to your lesson. No other music school in St. Thomas offers this technology.

One of the things that has really set us apart is our focus on providing fresh, new and engaging technology, such as music education apps, GarageBand, Pro-Tools, and more.  We're providing a cutting-edge lesson experience at G-Clef.

10. Free music recitals in our music hall and other world-class venues!

We are one of the only music schools in St. Thomas that offers free recitals in a first class professional recital hall.

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.

In May, many of our students choose to perform in our annual recital. We also hold various mini recitals in our very own G-Clef Hall.

For our students these recitals are free and unlike many schools in St. Thomas we do not charge recital participation or admission fees.

11. Trophies, certificates and award wristbands to celebrate achievement.

We are the only private music school in St. Thomas that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? “A few.” But none of them inspire their students by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder is our unique method of music education that you can only get here.

More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins. You can only get the Musical Ladder here. We also specialize in music lessons for adults.

12. Student Discount Cards.

We are the only music school in St. Thomas that offers student discount cards for their students which saves them money throughout the year (conditions apply).

The Academy also sells music books, used instruments and new accessories. All of our current students receive a student discount card that saves them money on all of their music supply needs. The student discount card can also be used at other local business including Music Shoppe II and dreams Recording Studio. At the dreams Recording Studio our music students can save money but still make a professional quality demo or recording project.

13. Early morning and lunch time lessons for homeschoolers, retirees, college students and working professionals.

Since we are the largest private music school on the island of St. Thomas, we are able to be a 'full service' music school. This allows us to offer lessons as early as 9 a.m. and we schedule students between the hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m (on Wednesday).  If you are a homeschool parent, retiree, college student or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early morning and lunch time lesson spots.  Call us today to set up your lesson time!
